Politics
I am a PhD candidate in Politics at the University of Exeter, specializing in International Relations. My doctoral research examines how ideological contestation in China has evolved under the stigmatization associated with liberal democracy since 1989. I focus on Chinese intellectual debates over national identity, democracy, and visions of alternative world orders, contributing both to theoretical discussions of stigmatization in IR and to broader debates on China and the crisis of the liberal international order. In parallel, I am developing a seris of collaborative research on global governance in emerging domains such as AI and cyberspace, with a focus on norm contestation and the role of non-Western actors. More broadly, my work spans International Relations theory, China politics, and historical sociology. Beyond my research, I have served as Coordinator of the Global China Research Centre at the University of Exeter and as Convenor of the SPSPA PGR Seminar Series.
