Prof. Giovanna Colombetti is a Philosopher with a background in Philosophy and Cognitive Science. She works primarily in the fields of embodied and situated cognition, with a particular interest in emotion and other affective phenomena. Her approach to research and teaching is pluralistic and interdisciplinary, drawing liberally from phenomenology, analytic philosophy, as well as theoretical and experimental work in the cognitive and social sciences. She is the author of several publications, including the monograph The Feeling Body: Affective Science Meets the Enactive Mind (2014, MIT Press). She is currently working on a second monograph on emotion/affect and material objects.
