Anthropology
Giulia is a part-time Anthropology PhD candidate based in the Centre for Rural Policy Research (CRPR). Her research looks at how taste and demand for seaweed as a food are changing in the UK, with a focus on southwest England. She is particularly interested in understanding the intersection of cultural, economic and environmental dynamics and how these are shaping seaweed as a food in the southwest. Giulia is also a researcher at the International Institute for Environment & Development (IIED), where she works in the Food team.
