Louise Toller (she/her)
Postgraduate Researcher
Sociology
Louise is an ESRC funded PhD student in the department of Social and Political Sciences, Philosophy and Anthropology. Her PhD explores the experiences of young adults with ME/CFS, using a combination of visual and verbal methods. She is particularly interested in the role of liminality in their lives – the impact of having a condition that is fluctuating, largely invisible, and medically and socially contested – and how they experience multiple liminalities. She is also interested in exploring the complexities surrounding the visibility of illness.
