Philosophy
Michael is a PhD candidate in Philosophy, with research interests in autism, neurodiversity, disability, psychiatry, embodied/enactive cognitive science, critical phenomenology, Marxist political theory, and cultural anthropology. His current research explores autistic and neurodivergent embodiment - and the interrelationship between cognitive and cultural diversity - from a decolonial and ecological perspective.
Michael also co-leads a monthly neurodiversity reading group at Egenis, Centre for the Study of Life Sciences. The aim of this group is to create a space for critical discussions on wide-ranging topics relating to neurodiversity. Michael is passionate about inclusion, equity, and social/environmental justice.
