Dr. Michail Melidis is a Lecturer in Politics at the University of Exeter. He holds a BA in Political Science (First Class) and an MA in Political Theory and Analysis (with Distinction) from the University of Crete (Greece). In 2017, he completed his PhD at the University of Exeter, titled "Analyzing the 'leader-laggard' dynamic in the context of EU environmental policy: a federal perspective." During his academic career, Dr. Melidis has gained extensive experience as a Teaching Assistant, Associate Lecturer and Lecturer. He has taught a variety of modules, including International Relations, EU Politics, Public Policy, Environment and Climate Change, and Globalization. His research interests lie in public policy and public administration, with a particular focus on environmental policy implementation in the UK, EU, and Greece, as well as social vulnerability. Dr. Melidis is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy and a member of several academic associations, including the Hellenic Association of Political Scientists, the Centre for European Studies, the Centre for Political Research and Documentation, the Centre of Human Rights, and various ECPR sub-groups. He has published several research articles and actively participates in international conferences, workshops, and symposiums.
