Becca is a PhD candidate in Sociology, based at the Centre for Cultures and Environments of Health.
She holds an undergraduate degree in politics, a postgraduate cert in public policy, both from Queen Mary, and an MA in Art and Politics from Goldsmiths.
Becca's Phd is a lived experience research project on chronic shame and agency within a health and social care context. Her research focuses on the experiential complexity surrounding chronic shame and agency attenuation within patient-centred healthcare including relational and interpersonal interactions between patient and healthcare workers in addition to the objectifying effects of evaluation and measurement practices.
